WELLNESS COMMITTEE UPDATE

We have had a great interest in the Weight Loss Challenge already so the prize is looking pretty and worth signing up and competing for! Email Kirsty Mortensen to enrol before May 3rd. There will be weigh in’s/measurements in the morning and before nightshift.

    RECIPE: CHOCOLATE CINNAMON OATS

    Dairy Free, Dinner, Gluten Free, Refined Sugar Free

    Who doesn’t like starting their day with a little chocolate hit! This pudding-like porridge is a perfect prepare ahead, grab-and-go breakfast for busy people. Its creamy texture is just delicious! You could also mix in or top with your choice of nuts or seeds. Enjoy! 

     

    Makes 2 serves:

    1 cup oats

    1 cup milk of your choice

    1 tbsp 100% pure maple syrup

    1 tsp ground cinnamon

    ½ tsp vanilla essence

    2 tsp raw cacao powder

    TOPPINGS

     1 tsp cacao nibs
     ½ sliced banana or (heated frozen berries to make a jus)

    1. Mix together oats, milk, cinnamon, maple syrup, vanilla essence & cacao powder. Store in the fridge overnight to soften oats and let all the flavours combine. When ready to eat top with fresh banana (or berries) and cacao nibs. Enjoy!
